getting in touch with my creative side

While I was getting my oil change on my vehicle, I took a walk along Broadway.  I stopped into a local bead store to see what they had to offer, and to see about enrollment in their courses.  I would have shopped a little longer, except the entire shop smelled like a litter box that needed to be changed.  Has anyone ever been in a shop that smelled so bad?

Orange bell peppers are my favorite.  I can eat them all day long.

It is pouring rain on one side of my bedroom, and bright and sunny on the other.  I hope the storm is moving out.

the business proposal

After doing much research on the effectiveness of marketing techniques for a business proposal I am working on, I have decided to make a full effort to update my blog.  Everything I read says to "blog, blog, blog." This is me blogging.  I've also been meaning to set up a twitter account.  I think it would be much more suitable for my jam packed schedule, it is more of a "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" type of internet presence.

I am thinking of listing a few more items before bed.  Here is a sneak peek:

the makeover

I am just beginning to realize how important quality pictures and descriptions are when selling items on-line. My wonderful roommate (and etsy buyer) has graciously let me borrow her camera, taught me a little about lighting and photography, and explained to me why she wouldn't even look twice at a product if the picture was of bad quality.

Taking pictures of my older items, I now see how big that difference is. Although I have quite an adventure still ahead of me, I'm excited. The depths of my closets (yes, that word is plural) is infinite, I hopefully will have this task done by the end of the week. For every two older items I photograph, I am allowing myself to photograph one new item.

All of this was inspired by my new mannequin, Petunia. I think she is what is helping my shop out now, she's already sold an item this morning! However, yesterday during the photoshoot, she lost her balance, and suffered a nasty fall onto the concrete floor. I will be operating on her after my classes today! (Speaking of classes, I really need to finish my homework.)
